Review: The Original Dish Drying Mat
Review: SheaMoisture Baby Bar Soap
Review: Gillette Venus Proskin
I have to say at first I was like this is great, but really aren’t all razors made the same. Oh boy was I wrong. To start out I was already using the Gillette Devine, which works great but I wanted to compare the Venus Proskin with another brand’s three blade razor that claims to do the same.
So, I started to conduct my little comparison study. First, I dampened my right leg with water and started shaving with the Venus Proskin. The moisture rich save gel bars started working and I kept gliding along. I must say that it was the best shave I have gotten in a long time. I really did not need any shaving cream at all.
Now comes the complicated part. I dampened my left leg with water and started shaving with the other three blade razor. Oh my to my surprise did it burn. It felt like I was dry shaving. At about half way through I just couldn’t bare the burn so I cheated a little and applied shaving cream. Even at that the razor just didn’t have the same finesses and glide.
Here is my conclusion:
As you can see the Gillette Venus Proskin left no razor bumps and most especially no little nicks. My skin felt smooth even without lotion. The other razor left me with razor bumps, a burning sensation, and the dreaded nicks.
So, in the razor battle I must say that the Gillette Venus Proskin MoistureRich Razor wins. Hands down…
Venus ProSkin MoistureRich Razor has shave gel bars enhanced with a triple blend of body butters, which create a layer of protection for your skin with every stroke. Plus, it features the trusted Venus three-blade technology for an ultra-close shave; our rounded, pivoting head for those hard-to-reach places; and an ergonomic handle for great control in wet, soapy environments.

There are a couple of things that stand out when looking at the bottle. First, there is the moisturizing aspect. In order to truly test the moisturizing properties I cut out my daily moisturizing lotion. Throughout the two weeks that I have been using this product I have seen a significant improvement in my skin. After I get out of the shower, I no longer have that tightness feeling to my skin, and no more dry patches. The one thing I hate about certain body washes is that itchy feeling you get after you use it because it has sucked all of the moisture out of your skin. Well, I have to say that with Vitabath I didn’t have that feeling at all. It is truly amazing. The cucumber & white tea scent is light, clean, and not overpowering. Lastly, the bonus factor is that it’s sulfate and paraben free. Plus it has vitamins A, B3, C, E, and Pro-Vitamin B5.
For more than 50 years, consumers have trusted the Vitabath brand for unparalleled skin cleansing and conditioning. Vitabath’s quality ingredients and rich fragrances indulge the senses and nourish the skin, resulting in a relaxing, yet invigorating, at-home spa experience. In 2011, Vitabath is revitalizing its brand with the introduction of a new moisturizing body wash line with a wide variety of fresh, playful fragrances.
All of the products in Vitabath’s newest collection of sulfate and paraben free body washes boast a moisturizing formula that leaves skin feeling clean, refreshed and vibrant. Featuring a nourishing blend of Vitamins A, B3, B5, C and E, as well as an antioxidant superfruit blend, the Fragrance Collection moisturizes and revives skin with its rich, luxurious lather. Fragrance Collection body washes retail for $12.99 or less each at www.myvitabath.com and at ULTA Beauty, Harmon Discount, Stages, Duane Reade, Fred Meyer and Bed Bath & Beyond stores.
